PART TWO (Invitation and ...MERCY)

Few days ago, I posted this, “Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to His temple” “Prepare, prepare, prepare…I am coming soon.” Then as I contemplated the passages that I received earlier in Mal.3:1, an instruction followed, seriously, “Tell persons to prepare their hearts…” Daily, we pray “Your Kingdom come on earth.”

See these two following contemporaneous Scriptures, “The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” “What should we do then?” the crowd asked. John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?” “Don’t collect any more than you are required to,” he told them. Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” He replied, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay” (Lk.3.)

I Cor.7: “What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not;  those who mourn, as if they did not; those who are happy, as if they were not; those who buy something, as if it were not theirs to keep; those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.”

John was urging persons, in an imminent moment, to practice charity, which helps in obtaining mercy.  St. Paul was not telling persons to neglect their families but that it was time to prioritize their values. God first. Family second. Work third. If work is first in your life kindly reexamine it. If there is anything your conscience has been bringing to your attention to desist from, I encourage you to pay attention. Repentance. Confession. Forgive. Awake oh sleeper. Reconcile. Let go. Healing. In all circumstances, kindly remember, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. (Prov.18:10.)
